  1. The ELF-executable stars was compiled using:

  3. - Linux 2.0.0
  4. - gcc 2.7.0
  5. - svgalib 1.2.10
  6. - libc 5.3.9
  7. - ld.so 1.7.14
  8.  
  9. Because of svgalib you'll need to run it as root (or put an s-bit on it).
  10. On my machine (Triton, Pentium 120, 16 Mb, S3-964 2Mb VRAM) I get
  11. 2000 stars @ 50 f/s or 8000 stars @ 25 f/s (use -d 0 option).
